BABY YOGA & MASSAGE

You'll love this combined class! Sharing yoga with babies strengthens the
immune system, and fosters healthy, positive experiences from infancy on up
to preschool years. Infant massage techniques focus on the importance of nurturing
touch and teach parents and caregivers ways to promote secure attachment and
healthy bonding. There are numerous physiological and emotional benefits of
infant massage and yoga stretch. Learn poses, movements & massage techniques
to increase baby's sleep, improve digestion, ease gas pain and decrease fussiness.
Fun poses encourage tummy time. Moms will learn hands on techniques to aid
in neuromuscular development. Enjoy meeting and sharing with other moms in
a very supportive environment.

CREATIVE YOGA FLOW
(Adults - All Levels)

Drawing equally
from the ancient heritage of Yoga and the teachings of the present moment,
together we create the flow. Creative Flow Yoga is a synthesis of various
styles of Yoga, designed to facilitate a soulful practice for individuals
in a group setting. The “flow” of the class emerges like sculpture
from stone as each student’s needs are addressed and integrated into
the sequences of postures, breathing exercises, and meditation practice. Poetic,
meditative, energizing and relaxing, Creative Flow Yoga is for anyone seeking
wellness and a deepening connection to self, spirit and community. Drop-ins
welcome!

EXPLORE ART
(5-8 yrs)

Led by an art therapist, this class will introduce both traditional and nontraditional
art materials to children to encourage sensory stimulation, imaginative play,
and self-awareness. The emphasis is on the process of creating something meaningful
over the final product itself. Students may be asked to bring items (like
photos) from home.
HANDWRITING GROUP
These after-school classes follow the Handwriting Without Tears Program
and are taught by a pediatric Occupational Therapist. The program addresses
handwriting readiness and handwriting improvement in a fun, engaging and non-threatening
way. Classes will focus on improving gross and fine motor skills, postural
control, pre-writing technique and letter/number formation. These classes
are appropriate for children of all abilities, but can be particularly helpful
for children with weaknesses in cutting and paper/pencil tasks. Class limit:

MUSIKGARTEN
Music for Babies (Newborn - 18 months)

This 30-minute weekly class helps you learn how to play musically
with your baby. Through bouncing and rocking, wiggle and peek-a-boo games
your baby will increase curiosity about music developing listening skills
and a sense of rhythm. American Sign Language (ASL) is used
in class to encourage a foundation for signing and the development of dual
language: English and ASL. Family package included (Cd, Family Activity Book
& instrument or manipulative).
Music for Toddlers (16 months - 3 years)

This class is designed to bring the joy of music and movement to toddlers
and their parents. Activities include singing, dancing, focused listening
and simple instrument playing, creating an environment in which the child's
music aptitude is nurtured and skills are developed. In addition, the instructor
integrates American Sign Language in each class which is
a great tool for learning and language development. Your toddler will love
learning a second language! The benefits of music and sign language are great:
improves attention span, fine and gross motor skills, and stimulates creativity
and language skills.
PLAY TO LEARN
(18 months - 3 years)

Play to Learn incorporates the use of "classic toys" and introduces
parents to the ABC's of play (Attention, Basic sign language, and Choices).
Basic sign language for toddlers, social interaction of children, and toddler
play development is an important focus of each class. Play to Learn will show
you how your child's playtime activity results in endless opportunities to
learn, bond, and have fun.
Play to Learn classes offer an opportunity for your child to be around other
children and for you to be around other caregivers. This helps develop early
social skills for your toddler. Play to Learn also improves basic communication
skills (sign language and word use) and maximizes learning during play. You'll
learn techniques for stimulating your child's cognitive, emotional, and language
development, but most of all......it's FUN!
TODDLER YOGA
(21 months - 4yrs)

learn best through play and need at least 30 minutes of structured physical
activity each day. There’s no better way to engage your child than through
the simple practice of yoga. Yoga can help your 21-month to four year-old
child have: better and longer sleep, increased motor coordination, better
self-expression and a healthy and physically fit lifestyle.
This series will introduce easy yoga sequences and simple poses that get you and your toddler moving! A vairety of resources will be presented in class to encourage yoga fun at home. Best of all, it's a fun, creative way for you and your toddler to stay active together.
YOGA 4 KIDS

Yoga 4 Kids classes provide children of all abilities with an exciting
new way to explore and appreciate their creative potential while exploring
the wonders of yoga. Traditional yoga techniques are presented in a playful,
simple and fun way. Each pose becomes a springboard for activities that open
the doorway to active imagination. At the same time, children benefit from
growing strong physically, mentally and emotionally, cultivating self-esteem
& confidence.
